不談鞋子，談談首位設計Air Jordan男女裝運動鞋的女性Aleali May
你不用365天穿球鞋，才算得上愛球鞋。而你不用喜歡球鞋，也知道Air Jordan是什麼。然而，我們不談鞋子，談談洛杉磯造型師Aleali May。
去年Aleali May創造歷史，成為第一位設計Air Jordan男女裝運動鞋的女性，而近來她更在球鞋紀錄片Unbanned: The Legend of AJ1中出鏡。
小時候因為體形瘦削而偏好穿上男裝遮掩，而對於球鞋的鍾情則始於兒時得到的一雙Jordan 12。長大後開始撰寫時裝博客，展現街頭衣服與奢華品的融合，吸引了不少粉絲，後來成為造型師。
Aleali May得到不少知名品牌與名人的垂青，曾替Kendrick Lamar、Tinashe、Lil’Yachty等擔任造型設計，又替Adidas、Kith做模特兒。Aleali May不相信時尚的「王道」，她認為每個人都有自己的角色，每個人都能夠對時尚有不同的解讀與偏好。
這種想法或多或少來成為她工作的動力，她想向女生展示，無論來自甚麼背景，只要不斷向前，永不放棄，終會成為自己想見到的模樣。

I want to highlight more women [in footwear industry]. There are more girls just like me that love heels but also love sneakers.
我想強調鞋業內更多女性。有很多女生像我一樣，喜歡高跟鞋又喜歡運動鞋。
You can do whatever you put your mind to, whatever background you come from, just keep pushing and never give up.
你可以做任何你想到的事情，無論你來自甚麼背景，不斷向前，永不放棄。
Every person has their own role, so it’s up to me to keep streetwear and high-end fusion alive. It’s up to the next kid, whatever they believe in, to keep that alive.
每個人都有自己的角色，我選擇了街頭和高端融合；而其他人對時尚，又有另一個解讀與偏好。
I wanted men to be able to wear it[my Jordan’s] as well as women. I wear men’s and women’s clothes.
我希望男女都能夠穿上我的設計。我本身男裝女裝都穿。
