早前，英國清談節目主持人Piers Morgan在節目和Twitter上嘲笑Little Mix 最新專輯LM5的宣傳照以及她們的「女權主義聲明」，認為她們只是在用裸體宣傳新專輯。不僅如此，他還將攻擊的目標瞄準了名嘴Ellen DeGeneres，並自稱為自己陽剛的男性氣質而驕傲。Ariana Grande的母親站出來公開指責這樣的言論，然而Piers Morgan不僅不罷休，更指責Ariana Grande也做著同樣的事，從而掀起了一輪罵戰。最終Ariana Grande發佈了一系列的Twitter，霸氣地給Piers Morgan「上了一課」：女性們擁有選擇露出自己身體的權利。

在這次事件後，Piers Morgan的搜索量直線上升。許多網友表示在此之前根本不認識他，紛紛猜測或許他只是想藉此舉動嘩眾取寵 。然而通過發表性別歧視和侮辱女性的言論來博取關注度的手法顯得卑劣並讓人氣憤，Ariana Grande直稱：「我期待有一天你能意識到還有其他方法讓自己變得更有意義，而不是通過批評年輕、漂亮、成功的女性。」最後，Ariana Grande還不忘借用自己的新曲結束這場對話，「Thank u, next」。Ellen和Little Mix也紛紛回應，表示感謝和支持。

雖然Piers Morgan只是如跳梁小丑一般展示自己的無知，這卻讓我們意識到如今還存在著許多對女性裸體的偏見和誤解。無論是女性將自己的身體作為藝術領域的表達方式或是女權運動中的「戰場」，女性的身體都早已脫離窺視症（Voyeurism）下窺視與慾望投射的客體，誰都有選擇自主展示主體的權利。
看著這則新聞，不禁讓我想起在20世紀60到70年代，女性藝術家們在女權運動和激進主義理論的推動下，開始用自己的身體直接激烈地表達文化、政治和女性權益的問題。
她們通過將身體毫無保留地曝光，變成探索與創作的媒介與文本，從而不再被「男性凝視」所定義。其中最為震撼和尖銳的創作來自於美國藝術家卡洛琳∙史尼曼（Carolee Schneeman）的作品Interior Scroll。在這場身體藝術中，她先是將全身衣服脫下，並開始朗讀她的作品Cezanne, She was a Great Painter ，同時在裸露的身體上塗滿顏料。最終她從下體抽出紙卷，繼續朗讀上面的文字。這樣激進的藝術表現形式諷刺了以男性話語權主導的社會環境以及宣誓著女性身體的自主權應該交還給女性。

然而到了20世紀80年代，女性藝術家們發現在藝術中這樣的裸體形象表達卻再次成為男性的「消費品」。從Piers Morgan的言論看來，這樣的「危險信號」直到如今依然存在，這讓她們重新開始思考關於身體創作的多樣形式以及如何實現更好的自我表達。
在當下，女權主義者們為何如此看重身體的表達？The Economist關於女權運動文章Why are feminists going topless?中淺析了為何部分女性會選擇在女權運動中裸露自己的身體。她們認為如今女性的裸體應該由自身被賦予新的意義，不應該再帶有順從他者的情色意味。父權政治的影響深遠持久，滲透在如今社會政治、文化等多個領域。而女性在各項權力不平等的條件下，身體成為了唯一可以自主掌控的場所，也成為了反抗的「武器」，用以衝破男性話語體系的突破口。
