I started trying to do the opposite of pretty. I made this fat little figure. I was giggly when I was drawing it. I was like, this is fun! That was probably a year ago and it gave me the confidence to do my own thing and launch my line, Hus Hus.
There’s something about being a woman—being in the female body—that is so sexualized, and sometimes I want to make fun of it to give it lightness. Also, I want my work to be accessible, and I never want people to feel intimidated.
儘管現時所做的，與最初所想的好像距離甚遠，但若強逼自己實現「最初的夢想」，感覺反而更難受：「I was unhappy and bitter trying to blend in, and now that I’ve accepted myself, I find I’m connecting with so many people!」現在，Camilla大部分時間都放在設計及品牌工作之上，有時亦會擔任兼職模特兒。嚴格來說，她沒有完全地忘記初衷，反而選擇在夢想與現實間作出調節。
