Hillier Bartley選為 2017 BRANDS OF TOMORRO,閏密之間能在工作上合作無間的秘訣只是單靠信任二字?

Marc by Marc Jacobs整併歸入Marc Jacobs主線後,兩位創意總監Katie Hillier和Luella Bartley決定跳出來合作推出屬於二人的獨立品牌。2015 F/W開始Hillier Bartley由ready-to-wear、包袋到飾物,設計出一個個成熟且完整的Collection。今年年頭,二人的品牌被英國Walpole選為2017 BRANDS OF TOMORROR成為受注目的品牌,可算是完成了一直以來的夢想。

默契就是,擁抱同樣的價值

Hillier Bartley的設計十分有個性,能突顯出現代女性摩登時尚的氣質,自第一個Collection登場開始就受到各大媒體的關注。Luella認為她們的品牌能夠反映出現代女性的自信。雖然在Hillier Bartley品牌身上依然會看到過去在Marc by Marc Jacobs時的影子,但卻多了一份英倫的優雅。她們將女人味的設計融合於男裝的線條,既能顯示女性原來的特質亦多了份「假小子」的帥氣,模糊了「二元對立」強調女性的能力。品牌的設計概念可以說是Hillier和Bartley的寫照。

默契就是,各執所長

只相差一歲的二人(Luella Bartley(43),Katie Hillier(42))表示一直以來的目標都是希望要開設屬於自己的時裝品牌。雖說二人熱愛時裝,但開設品牌終究是一門生意,開講有話「講錢傷感情」,朋友之間要合作做生意真的不是份容易的事情,很難避免有爭吵。但Hillier和Bartley卻說她們有的是默契,畢竟二人認識、合作已有二十多年。開設品牌後,二人各執所長,Bartley負責ready-to-wear,Hillier負責配飾。相識許久,Bartley表示對對方的信任成為二人相處之道,信任對方的經驗和直覺,互相專注大家擅長的領域,引領品牌走下去。
