Riverside fun: 在首爾漢江旁跟愛侶吃炸雞喝啤酒吧！

Han river is referred as the heart, the ‘soul’ of Seoul. It crosses Seoul in half, to north and south. Seoul city government designated 12 specific areas along Han river as parks for leisure and fun activities. Each one of them has its unique features, offering different forms of leisure to Seoul citizens. It is not that hard to see many people enjoying outdoor activities, or mumbling on ‘chi-maek (chicken and beer)’ at the park. Here are top 5 things to do at Han river.

漢江代表著首爾的心與靈魂，它由北至南，橫跨半個首爾。首爾市政府在漢江兩旁劃出了十二個區域作休閒公園用途，每個公園都有著獨一無二的特色，為首爾市民提供不同的休閒樂趣，所以亦不難看到有很多人都享受戶外活動，又或是在公園裡吃炸雞，喝啤酒。以下就是在漢江最常做的五件事情。

01 Chicken and Beer （雞和啤酒）

Han river park is the perfect area to go for some ‘Chi-maek’ time, meaning chicken and beer combination. If you’ve only had Korean BBQ, it’s time to try some Korean fried chicken. Korean fried chicken comes in plain or with sauce, and you can order half of each. There are many fried chicken sellers at Han river park, so if you’re strolling along the river, you’ll occasionally get confronted with them. Prices are about the same for each brand, but the delivery time might be delayed, so wait with patience if you ever do so. Han river is also good for picnics, so bring your picnic bag along with a mat to lie down on, and a book to read. Sounds like a nice relaxing day!

漢江公園是享受치맥（Chi-maek）的最佳地點，치맥即是雞和啤酒的混合詞。如果你只試過韓式燒烤，那麼你便要來試一下韓式炸雞！韓式炸雞有原味和醬油味，你可以兩款各要一半。漢江公園有不少炸雞店，在公園內走走也不難發現他們，每間店的價錢也差不多，但可能要等很久，所以想吃的話就要給點耐心囉！漢江也是個野餐好去處，帶上你的野餐盒和桌布，躺在地上看看書，渡過悠閒的一天吧！

02 Flea Market (跳蚤市場)

One of the 12 Han river parks, Ttukseom, offers a flea market. It is held every Saturday and Sunday in the afternoon. Products range from used clothing to electronic goods. Admission is free, even for the sellers. A portion of the money the sellers collect go for a good cause, so might be worth a visit. Remember to haggle it down. One thing, Korean sellers and buyers don’t call bubbled-up prices or do extensive haggling. The items are all priced at a normal range.

纛島公園是十二個漢江公園其中之一，逢星期六、日下午都會有跳蚤市場，由衣服到電器你也可以在這裡找到，無論你是買家或是賣家皆可免費入場，而賣家收入的一部分會用作慈善用途，很值得來參觀。不過來到這裡就不要討價還價了，在這裡的物品都是普通價位。

03 Outdoor sports 戶外運動

Sports paradise might be the best way to describe Han river park. Offering a large range of sports facilities, the most-enjoyed sport at the Han river park is biking. There are multiple bike stands, and with a cheap price, you can easily rent a bike and enjoy riding on the bike for hours. There are twin bikes too, so if you’re on a date, this might be an option if you are okay with cute cheesy dates!

稱漢江公園是運動天堂一點也不為過，這裡提供了大範圍的運動場地，而最享受的莫過於踏單車，這裡有不少單車停泊處，你可以在這裡用便宜的價錢租用單車。另外還有雙人單車，是約會中的愛侶不錯的選擇。

Other than biking, Han river park offers a soccer field, volleyball court, basketball court, gateball court, inline skating rinks and skateboarding areas. It is indeed a sports heaven.

除了踏單車，漢江公園還有足球場、排球場、籃球場、門球場、滾軸溜冰場和滑板場，確實是個運動天堂。

04 Water sports (水上運動)

Han river park is located along the river, so it should be no surprise that this park offers great water sports facilities. In summer, some of the park branches open swimming pools from July to August right next to the river, and there are aquatic leisure sports centers offering surf board, water ski, windsurfing, jet ski, yacht, water motorcycle and water slides. Make the most out of it in summer.

既然漢江公園座落在河流旁，有水上運動也是理所當然。在夏天時，部分公園會由七月至八月開放在河旁的遊泳池，另外還有水上休閒運動中心提供衝浪、水上滑板、風帆、滑艇、划艇、水上摩托和水上滑梯。

05 Night view (夜景)

Seoul never sleeps, emitting blazing lights from neon signs. If you are tired of the everyday party-all-night nightlife, Han river’s beautiful night view might be a nice escape from the busy city. In fact, the Banpo Rainbow Fountain offers a premium light show along the river. During 15 minutes of its show time, the fountain frolics in accordance with the music. Show times range in between 7:30 and 9pm. There are day shows too, but the night show with the pretty night view offers a romantic experience.

首爾是個不夜城，到處都是璀燦的霓虹燈，如果你厭倦了每晚派對狂歡的夜生活，那麼漢江的夜景絕對能夠讓你逃離這個繁華的都市。在盤浦彩虹噴泉就有一個沿著漢江的燈光表演，在整個15分鐘的表演，噴泉會隨著音樂變化。表演時間由7點半到9點半，早上也有表演，但晚上的景色更添一份浪漫。

Han river park can offer the best and the most in summer. Koreans often come to the river and camp there to escape from the urban heat. It might be a nice idea to enjoy a lazy afternoon for a picnic, or an adventurous day full of sport activities at Han river park. Enjoy!
