Around Town: 浪漫首尔，唯美灯节
When the cold wind starts striking the Korean peninsula, the capital city Seoul holds a lantern festival at Cheonggye stream flowing heart of the city, turning the area into a dazzling spectacle each year. With that said, the Seoul Lantern Festival once again kicked off on November 7th, under the theme ‘Seoul’s Gleaming World Heritage.”
正当寒风凛冽吹到朝鲜半岛之际，韩国首尔的清溪川举行了每年一度的首尔灯节，为这里点起五光十色，让人眼花缭乱，而这年以「首尔闪烁世界遗产」的主题再一次在11月7日举行。
The festival displays lanterns in all shapes and sizes through four parts. Part one presents Korea’s world heritages, followed on by local and international lanterns at part two. Part three shows characters popular among children such as Larva and Tobot. The last part features lanterns made by modern light artists. Several event booths which require visitors’ participation will be set up, including a wish tree where visitors can write down their wish and hang it on the tree. Selected messages will show up on nearby LED screen. Maybe time to confess your love to a date?
整个灯节展示了各式各样的灯笼，并且分为四部分。第一部分展示韩国的世界遗产；第二部分则是包含本地及来自世界各地的灯笼；第3部分就有受小孩欢迎的卡通角色如Larva和Tobot；到最後一部分就是由现代灯光艺术家设计的特色灯笼。现场还有不少活动摊位让人参与，其中就有一颗许愿树让人写下愿望并挂在树上，被选中的愿望会显示在邻近的LED显示屏，或许这是个给你示爱的好机会，还蛮浪漫的。
Seoul Lantern Festival will be held till Nov. 23 along the 1.2 kilometer stretch from Cheonggye Plaza to Supyo Bridge. Don’t miss the shimmering view!
首尔灯节会由即日至11月23日在清溪广场至水标桥举行，全长1.2公里，千万不要错过啊！
